Virginia Marciano DeLucia, 87, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Whitney Manor, Hamden with her family by her side.  She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore DeLucia.  Virginia was born in Formia, Province of Latina, Italy on May 13, 1930; daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giuseppina Pruno Marciano; had worked for the former Strauss-Adler, New Haven for many years until her retirement in 1990.  Mother of Alfonso (Ingrid) DeLucia, Giuseppe (Alberta) DeLucia, Giovanna Romano, Anthony (Nikki) DeLucia and Orsola (Daniel) Rakiec.  Sister of Elena, Antonietta, Giovanna Marciano and the late Emilio, Benito and Nella Marciano.  Sister-in-law of Vincent (Maria) DeLucia.  Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Predeceased by her son-in-law Nicola Romano and her grandson Salvatore Romano.

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Monday morning at 11:30.  A  Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Frances Cabrini Church at 12 Noon.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.  The visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 pm.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT  06489.
