We are sorry for your loss. Mr. Yopp was an icon in North Haven. All of us ‘old timers’ knew him. He was a true gentleman.
I am very sorry for your loss.
I knew Mr. Yopp as a member of the Silver Bullets Basketball program. We also had lunch many times together. Celebrating his birthday over the years in March was a lot of fun.
I will miss him, especially his sharp wit and amiable conversation.

Peter and I are so sorry for your loss. Dubby was so kind and interesting to talk too. My Mother Dorothy Fenn grew up on Bailey Rd and considered him her best friend. He shared many wonderful stories about them in early North Haven as children. The town has lost an amazing friend and hard working man. God Bless, you truly will be missed.

Very sorry for you loss. Bill and I shared a bond as Veterans. He was a wonderful person and I enjoyed seeing him every time. He will be greatly missed!
It is with great sadness that I learned of Bill’s passing. Bill was an original member of both Wallingford Silver Bullet basketball and softball. His sense of humor added an extra dimension to the fun of the game. In one of the earlier softball games, he was pitching and gave up a long fly ball which I was lucky and young enough to run down. He turned around on the mound and shouted “Thank you”. Even in his later years, he was a formidable figure on the basketball court and still very hard to guard. He frequently showed up at the gym or softball field and would offer comments and coaching advice. At this year’s Christmas party, I sat with Bill and enjoyed his humorous observations on a wide variety of topics. The Silver Bullets have lost one of their icons and we will miss his wit, his insight and his still imposing presence. RIP Bill Yopp.
Karen,
My deepest condolences on the passing of your DAD.
I can remember playing basketball with him in the 1970’s, during the years after high school graduation.
A true gentleman and outstanding athlete.
Please know that you will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember Mr. Yopp when he cleaned our septic tank. Many people knew him due to his business.
He came to my dad’s wake in 2005. My dad and he played basketball when they were kids. I believe they were pick-up games at the spur of the moment.
He was a nice man.
My prayers go out to the family at this time of need.
Also my sister went to school with Bettina. I told her about his passing and she remembered him also.

His friends of the Army Air Force Roundtable of Connecticut were proud to have served with him, marched in Memorial Day Parades, and listened to his remembrances of having served our great country. We’ll miss his quiet leadership.
I didn’t know Mr. Yopp but I would pass his house when he lived on the corner of Elm St. Ext and Bailey Rd. Each year I would look forward to the row of zinnias he or Mrs. Yopp used to plant on my way to work. I am so sorry for your loss. Those flowers always brightened by day.
Mr. Yopp was an amazing man who has seen and done and gone through so much in his life. I met him through the North Haven Historical Society and spent hours listening to his stories, just trying to take in all the knowledge he had to share. He even helped me with some of the displays that I do for the Historical Society. Wether it was through his knowledge or the artifacts he let me use for displays, he was ready to share it all. He was a wonderful man who will be surely missed by many. My condolences to his family
