William J. Dvorak, Jr., 84, of Wallingford formerly of Norwalk for many years passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Masonicare, Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of Rose M. Republicano Dvorak for 62 years. William was born in Norwalk on November 2, 1932; son of the late William J. Dvorak, Sr. and Julia Azary Dvorak; had worked for A & P Food Stores for 45 years retiring as Dairy Manager; was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus; played semi-pro hockey for the Home Oilers in his youth; was a sports enthusiast and an avid UCONN Girls Basketball fan. Father of Lynn M. and Deborah A. Dvorak. Grandfather of Charles, Riley and Nicholas Dvorak. Great uncle “Unk” of Kristina & Peter Cordone, Jamie & Michael D’Amato.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Masonicare Chapel, 22 Masonic Avenue, Wallingford on Wednesday, March 29th at 2:00pm. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Norwalk at a later date. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with the arrangements.
