William J. Lewis, 70, of Bradenton, FL, formerly of North Haven, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Suzanne Don Billmeyer Lewis. William was born in Elmira, New York on September 7, 1950, and was the son of the late Paul and Margaret Mary Shannon Lewis. He served his country faithfully in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. William was a HVAC Technician for Star Supply and taught at the New England Technical, Porter and Chester Schools. He was a Mason with the Corinthian Lodge #63 AF & AM in North Haven. He was an avid New York Yankees and Giants fan and loved to travel. Father of Jesse Lewis. Brother of Jim, Steven, and Theresa Lewis. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The visiting hours will be Tuesday, July 6th from 4 to 8 PM in The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven, Wednesday morning, July 7th at 10:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven
Billy u were a great big brother!!! So many great memories of all of us together that will stay with me forever. I promise to be there for Jess like you were there for me..

Bill was a great gentleman and neighbor. He always had a funny story to tell during curbside chats. We have missed having him and Suzanne in the neighborhood. I am sure he was happy to reunite with his love. Deepest condolences to Jesse and family.
