William J. Teuber, Sr., 97, of Wallingford, formerly of Waterbury and North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the MidState Medical Center, Meriden.  He was the beloved husband of 73 years to the late Mildred Ziello Teuber.  William was born in Waterbury on June 9, 1924 and was the son of the late Oscar W. and Mary Wasserback Teuber.  He earned an Associate degree from W.F. Kaynor Technical School, Waterbury.  William served his country faithfully in the US Army Air Corp during WW II.  He had worked for the Southern New England Telephone Company for many years retiring as a manager.  William was a member of the Knights of Columbus Father Donaher Council, North Haven, the American Legion Murray/Reynolds Post #76, North Haven, member of the V.F.W., the Northeast Volunteer Fire Department, the St. Frances Cabrini Men’s club where he ran the bingo and was past Vice President of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Father of Cynthia Cappetta (John), Wiliam J. Teuber, Jr. (Ann Marie) and John “Jack” Teuber.  Grandfather of Sarah Dillon (Timothy), Daniel Cappetta (Helen), Katherine Cappetta (Kevin McManmon), Rachel Legault (Craig), Elizabeth Teuber, Christine O’Donnell (Patrick), Cecilia and Ingrid Teuber.  Brother of Ann Yesinskas and Elizbeth Curtin. Also survived by 12 great grandchildren.

The visiting hour will be on Saturday, Dec. 11th at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Church of the Resurrection at 11:00 AM.  Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
