Dear O’Hare Family…
My sincere condolences and heartfelt prayers for the loss of a wonderful man! Mr. O’Hare was my guidance counselor and my driving instructor during my time as a student at Hamden High School! He was a very patient and kind man; very supportive and encouraging to a young high school student; I always remembered him for that! I was very happy to see him again, years later, when my husband and I moved to North Haven and became parishioners of St. Frances Cabrini church. My thoughts and prayers are with you all! God bless you!
Bill was a great man and a true gentleman. His service to country and to North Haven was a small part of his genuine care and kindness towards others. My sincere condolences to his family and my deep appreciation for his service to the country and our town. He will be missed.
I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I had him as a teacher at Village St school. He was one of my favorites. I was also happy to see him a few times through the years. I know he will be missed dearly.

I knew Mr. O’Hare for over 26 years. He was a staunch supporter of youth sports and always had a well thought comment about a play or baseball situation. Words cannot express how saddened we are to hear of your loss. Mr. O was such a wonderful neighbor. Some simply live near you, but Mr. O was personally involved in bettering the neighborhood and giving a helping hand when needed to others who lived there. He was a second father to all the children on Dover Road. We will always cherish the memories made and hope that you have some peace knowing what an extraordinary man he was.
Rest in peace, Mr. O.
Our deepest condolences to the O’Hare family and friends.

It was a pleasure working with Bill when we both were counselors in the Hamden school system. Bill showed me the ropes my first year in the department and was always available if I had any concerns.
His students liked and trusted him and his calm approach was comforting and effective.
I knew he was modest so it was no surprise to find out (from the newspaper) that he touched so many other lives in the community and family.
We were lucky to know him.
To the O’Hare family,
Very sorry to hear of Mr. O’Hare’s passing. I have many good memories involving Mr. O’Hare, who always had time for us as kids in the neighborhood.
