Words cannot express how deeply saddened I am by your passing. You were truly an integral part of my first year as a Counselor at Cross and for that, I am eternally grateful. I will always remember our talks when we would see each other at the nail salon ALL the time…I will always keep my nails done because of what you would tell me about my nails and self-esteem. I know you are rocking the Heaven with your style and grace. Watch over the Counseling Crew. We need all your protection! Rest in Peace my friend.
To the Family:
” Those we love are always with us
In the gifts that they have shared
Their laughter, warmth and wisdom
And, the special ways they cared”….

I would like to extend to Ms. Roman’s family, and Angel, her nephew, a former student of mine, my most heartfelt sympathies. I am deeply grieved by her death.
I knew Ms. Roman in her capacity as one of the most outstanding counselors at Wilbur Cross High School, but that was enough to give me an appreciation of her talents, warmth and generosity of spirit. She was more than a counselor; she was a mentor and a friend to all her students, especially the ones that came from other countries. How saddened they all were when she was no longer at Cross. I especially remember how much she encouraged them to be involved in every aspect of the community as well as to do well academically. She always went out of her way to help those students in difficult situations. I know that she will live on, in the minds of every student she has guided, and whose hearts and lives she touched and changed.
Ms. Roman was one of those extraordinary people whom I will never forget. She was like a sunbeam that lit up the world around her. All of us that knew her, can now bask in the rainbow of the memories that we’ll nurture in the years ahead.
You were an amazing motivator to many students who did not have much hope such as myself. Every person who knows you can say your soul is gold ! Rest peacefully, we are all infinite energy.
My condolences to the family. My heart feel so heavy. She was awesome. She helped me so much in high school. Thank you for everything you did for me. I truly love and appreciate everything that you did for me to be able to graduate. For your sweet and caring words. You are a beautiful angel. Ms. Roman rest in peace. You will truly be missed.
I am so heartbroken by this news. Thank you for believing in me and putting in the right path.
I just found out . My deepest condolences to the family . Ms. Roman was the only person I had on my side during my four years at Wilbur Cross High School . She did her very best to get me into all the advance classes because of my potential and desire to learn . Due to discrimination she wasn’t able to get her way at all times, but I’m so grateful for everything she was able to do for me . Thanks to her I was able to learn at a college level for different subjects, which helped me a lot throughout college . Now I’ve decided to join the US Army & give back to my country . The first person I had on my list to visit at the school on my way back was her and I was heartbroken when I heard the news . I know that she’s proud of my accomplishments and everyone else that she helped . She’ll always be in my heart . Rest In Peace .
~ Love Ash
I met you my senior year of high school in New Horizons. You cared about me like none other. You truly wanted the best for me and I wish you could see how far I progressed, maybe you can since you’re watching down on all of us. I found out so late and feel guilty because I didn’t go back to visit and say hi. I want to thank you for being a huge part of why I was able to graduate high school and move forward. You pushed me to do better, and I have. And thank you for your positivity, your patience and your passion. You was, were, and always will be a wonderful woman. Until we meet again. I love you Mrs. Roman. Thank you for everything.
Thanks for always helping me in cross and in new horizons.
